A beautifully restored house, made to feel like home with Renee's attention to detail (down to a guest basket with toys for my kids' ages from a local toy store). My family loved the pool and hot tub. We can't wait to return for more memories!"

"The house was great for a group of people. The pool was cleaned daily while we stayed. There were plenty of towels to accommodate our large group, the instructions for check-in and check out were very thorough, communication with the host was great, answered all of our questions quickly. "This house is truly remarkable. A perfect relaxing stay! The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The house itself is beautifully decorated and laid out with clear, intuitive instructions for every amenity. The mattresses are different sizes but all very soft and foam rather than spring style. Tons of kitchen storage and plenty of dishes and cooking tools made it simple to stay in and cook. The hot tub luxuriously fit four adults (you could probably fit more if everyone wanted to get cozy). We are already planning our next trip, to visit when the pool is open!"

"In a word SPECTACULAR. Renee's home is grand and glamorous, while still being cozy and comfortable. She has thought of everything a guest could need and provided it in style. Furthermore, Renee is quick to respond to any question, and the most helpful and accommodating host. We had a wonderful time exploring the natural beauty around Lake Shelbyville, as well as the charming town itself. Excursions to Springfield and Effingham were easy from this location. We would love to come back and see the area in the Summer, and enjoy the beautiful pool and patio areas!"

"​It was a perfect long weekend to celebrate some family milestone birthdays together. Renee was extremely communicative and accommodating. The house is truly beautiful, nicely furnished, super comfortable, with old house charm but modern amenities. The pool was a real treat and very well maintained. And the fenced in backyard allowed our dogs to relax outside with us. I would highly recommend a stay here!
